The Dishwasher Insulation Shield helps keep the noise level in your kitchen to a minimum. In order to access the shield, you'll need to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet. ... You'll then use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the rivets holding the old shield, making sure to keep the rivets so you can re-use them when installing the new shield.
