The motor causes your washer to spin, agitate, and drain properly during the washing cycle. If your washer no longer spins or agitates, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. This motor is a single speed motor (120 volt). When accessing the old motor, be sure to remove the ground wire and the base from it so you can transfer these to the new motor before installing. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. The Dryer Thermal Fuse shuts off the burner in a gas dryer or the motor in an electric dryer when the appliance overheats. If he fuse is bad the dryer won't start or will run ...but no longer heat. Replacing it may alleviate these issues. Note that the thermal fuse cannot be reset. Fuses often blow due to a clogged dryer vent, so make sure you clean out this vent when installing the new part. The Top Load Washer Motor Rotor connects to the spin basket shaft and rotates the spin basket. If the splines are damaged and aren't engaging with the shaft, or if the rotor i ...tself is damaged, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. You'll get the motor rotor and the motor rotor bolt with this kit. This part lives at the bottom of your washer, so you'll have to tilt the washer back and lean it against something sturdy. Be sure to tape the lid down so it doesn't spring up on its own when tilting. Lock the new bolt into the new rotor before installing. Make sure the splines on the shaft are lined up with the splines on the motor rotor.
