To access the part, unscrew the water filter counter-clockwise and remove it, disconnecting it from the water lines. Then slide the old cover off. Hook the new cover onto each hinge pin, and then re-install the filter by turning it clockwise. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and intermediate repair experience.
