1. Prepare your workspace by unplugging the machine, clearing the area around the washer, and laying out a towel to cover the surface.
2. Disconnect the water supply hoses from the rear of the washing machine by unscrewing the connection with adjustable pliers.
3. Unscrew the screws that hold the pump in place with a Phillips head screwdriver, then pull out the old pump.
4. Insert the new GE WD26X23258 PUMP WASH KIT, ensuring all brackets are secure.
5. Reattach the water supply hoses to the rear of the washing machine, using adjustable pliers to tighten the connection.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, and then test the pump for proper operation by running a cycle.
