This Electric Range Oven Outer Door Glass replaces the heat-resistant outer glass panel of your oven’s door window. This glass covers the outer-most part of the oven’s door and allows you to view food items as they cook inside. This part is specifically designed to be used with black ranges. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the oven and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Caution: The oven door may feel heavy; 2 people may be required to safely lift the oven door to replace the inner glass. Handle glass with care to avoid breakage.

DIY Steps to Replace the WPW10535776 Whirlpool Range Black Exterior Door Glass
1. Unplug the Whirlpool range from its power source, and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Open the oven door and remove the inner door glass panel. You may need to use a putty knife or screwdriver to pry the inner door panel off the oven door frame.
3. Remove the screws that secure the outer door glass panel to the oven door frame.
4. Carefully lift the old outer door glass panel and remove it from the oven door frame.
5. Place the new WPW10535776 Whirlpool Range Black Exterior Door Glass into the oven door frame. Make sure to line up the holes on the door glass with the corresponding holes in the oven door frame.
6. Secure the outer door glass panel to the oven door frame using the same screws that were removed earlier.
7. Reinstall the inner door glass panel onto oven door frame.
8. Plug the Whirlpool range back into the power source and enjoy.
