1. Before you begin, shut off the power to your oven at the circuit breaker.

2. Remove the screws from the back panel of your oven, and pull the panel away.

3. Locate the WB44X5099 GE Bake Element in the oven; it will be a flat rectangular piece with two wires connected to the back.

4. Disconnect the wires from the back of the WB44X5099 GE Bake Element by pulling on the connection caps.

5. Once the connection caps are removed, unscrew the mounting screws holding the bake element in place.

6. Pull the old bake element out and set aside.

7. Take the new WB44X5099 GE Bake Element and line up the mounting holes with the existing ones in the wall of the oven.

8. Secure the new bake element in place with the screws that held the old one.

9. Reconnect the wires by pushing the connection caps onto each of the two wires.

10. Replace the back panel of the oven and secure with the screws previously removed.

11. Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker, and you’re done!
